Head of Demand and Business Excellence - Abbott - Karachi
Major Responsibilities
- Analyze demand and develop consensus-based demand forecast at SKU level on a monthly basis. Forecast to be developed considering trending/statistical techniques, inputs from sales and marketing teams and alignment with long term financial plans.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure inconsistencies in the forecast are corrected to prevent any negative impact on customer replenishment or inventory
- Ensure timely and accurate publication of Final Demand Statement on monthly basis as per the company policies and guidelines including related reporting to area and division.
- As S&OP champion, drive and facilitate the affiliate monthly S&OP process including NPI review, Commercial Review, Demand Review and S&OP meeting.
- Coordinate with Plant and distribution team on the inventory as per the demand forecast and in line with the inventory holding norms.
- Coordinate with Marketing team for new products forecast.
- Perform gap analysis on forecast plan between demand forecast and financial forecast systems
- Serves as point of contact with Global and Area supply team for all supply related matters.
- Driving continuous improvement in the commercial (sales and operations) processes to improve business performance (metrics, KPIs, etc.)
- Opportunity maximization and Risks mitigation: Manage the ongoing Opportunity & risk process to help the affiliate identify, manage and realize opportunities while simultaneously ensuring the launch of robust mitigation measures against all prioritized risks
- Communication: support management team in demand planning and forecasting accuracy improvements, develop and maintain communication links between finance, marketing, sales, and commercial excellence to ensure proper execution of the forecast
